Just curious when the rest of the system received there notices about their safety bonuses?
Also were you told one amount then another a few days later?

Out here in Denver Co we received our notices Wednesday 12-5-18, stating you will receive X amount for your SB. So today, 12-7-18 we received a new revised letter stating that due to an error of double counting a $25 premium may have been communicated to you in our November correspondence.

Basically they overpaid us by $25. I find this interesting in the fact we received the first letter about any safety bonus wednesday, then this new one friday. There was NO letter given to any of us in November! And every employee eligble for the SB here in denver received the same letter in the same time frame!

For us senior drivers out here this was kind of a slap in the face.
Last year Copsy decided to raise the wages of new hires to full scale with the senior people to bring in more drivers. It did that but not good drivers, kind of the bottom of the barrel types. Lots of lazy drivers or unskilled types, truck school flunkeys and the like. This has created a real problem out here in Denver.
Now our managment and dispatchers are holding these new guys hands, they cannot do any wrong. These guys have caused lots of problems with customers i.e. backing skills, communication and ect.
They'll pull up in front of a customers, sit for 15 minuets then call in an exception for either closed or cannot locate and it's ok, yet a senior driver calls in a legit closed buisness or cannot locate and all heck breaks loose, dispatch or CS is calling the customer to verify there closed or there asking the customers to come find you!

It has really gotten ridiculous out here with the way they cater to the new people, they mess up daily yet are given a big hug and an atta boy when they get back in at night!

The whole situation with the new hires and wages has really gotten out of hand.
Then throw Christmas in the equation, new hires won the daily $200 and two got the $1000, not to mention all the other give aways were new hires with only 2 senior people receiving anything.

And now the slap in the face with the safety bonuses! Yes I know its only $25 but the way it was handled out here in Denver was pure pathetic!

Is it just here in Denver???

Going by what I got last year they did have it wrong. Looks like someone in the safety dept is getting 3 days off lol. In regards to the new drivers it's the same everywhere. Remember if you been here longer than 3 years you are guilty until proven innocent for anything and everything when you walk in the gate.

R&L only pays .55 per mile??
They pay a flat rate per trip, haven't been on line haul for a long time so someone will have to chime in on rate per mile but no extra for drop hook Pretrip, fuel or anything else . Only pay if extra stop enroute or break down after two hours. One of our higher paying routes a lot of the senior guys bid on is at .563 cpm as of November 2018. That run works out to about 86,000 per year M-F 12 hours a day minimum. A city guy at top rate at 52 hours a week works out to about 76,500 per year. 60 hours in the city is about 87,900 annually. I'm in the Great Lakes area. There are geographic variations and I'm not very well versed in those.

Another favorite run among senior guys is one that works out to .706 cpm, 12 hours a day 81,900 annually. There is no dockwork at either end for line drivers . Some terminals do have some combo bids, but not many. So there is variance
