SEFL | Union

He's still there. He tried to go to RAL but they said no. He hated the city dispatcher and tried to get him to quit and forced him to full time dock worker. Did the same with the inbound supervisor. Driver turnover is high. Guys with a lot of tenure are walking out the door.

I'm so thankful he didnt get it.

The old adage of “people don’t quit jobs they quit bosses” still holds true. Kinda tells you the mess sefl Corp is in trying to find quality leadership for the chump change they want to pay

When will you wake up and realize it's time we had a union. The time is now and things are getting worse. Micromanage everything, open door policy pretty much gets people fired . Survey is just SEFL's Marketing Tool. They do what they want !
And a year later nothing has changed

It’s a sad state we are in when other nationwide ltl carriers let us go ahead of them in line waiting for a dock spot because they know how much heavier our workload is. For less pay than those other carriers.

Less pay. Less job security. Supes can do with you as they please. Age discrimination. Yeah, I’d vote IBT in. Most wouldn’t. Yes I’d be trading one master for another just as selfish, but I’d at least be paid better for it
Who is the dummy here???
me for not going to abf when I had the chance

From your post you must work at the worst terminal in the company. I've been here for 15+ years, while not perfect it's ok. I learned many years to play the game with them. You want to send me out with 15 stops at lunch with a 30-45 minute drive to the area, I'm going to stop for lunch as soon as I get there. You stack a ton of pickups on me and and I still have a bunch of deliveries to make, I'm going to stop delivering and bury every delivery in the trailer. If they load the same stop with multiple deliveries(one in the nose and one half way in the trailer) stupid, I'll go to it multiple times. You can make the supervisors job just as miserable as they make yours. If the customers start calling into corporate then they are coming down on the dispatchers and other supervisors for not planning better not you. I've left many days after or around 12 more deliveries than I knew I could get off. I had dispatch ask me multiple times what happened? I tell them they should plan better and that's it.

Done those things or similar to it and they always find a way to make your next day worse than it otherwise would have been. Put you on a different route because you can’t cost out as good as the 20 yr old does when he fills in. Not going to tell what terminal I’m in due to retaliation for saying negative things about the company. I’ve had positive things in the past to post here, but today I’m fed up

You have a good terminal to work out of. Good for you and play the game quietly. That was never my experience at SEFL unfortunately. I even use to fill in for the inbound supervisor and would get asked questions about weight on runs not total number of stops to deliver. Their only about numbers now since the great recession. I remember the days when corporate personnel knew who you were. As a late friend who worked there said be seen not heard and all they owe you is your paycheck next Friday pretty much summed up SEFL.
