I am wondering what G.O. is thinking cutting bids that run everyday and then turn them into extra board bids it doesn't make sense

Yes they are out and we lost four bids and gained four extra boards BTW three of the four bids run every day they cancelled the last sequence bid of all the multiple lane bids

Somehow we figure it looks better (for them) "adding runs" rather than canceling them,,,,, it works the same at our barn..... But I have a question,,,,, how do extra board drivers run ahead of a canceled bid driver ????? (there's lots I don't know)

When they cancel a bid driver, that driver goes to the extra board in his seniority spot. Then they start calling the extra board for runs for that day or night. If they have enough seniority, they get choice of runs.

If your bid gets cut your supposed to go to the extra board for that day by order of seniority
thats by fedex rules
so if your a senior driver you still work

I know what the policy is supposed to be. But like I said in my other post they do what they want (central). The senior driver filed and was denied. Even though he could of made the show up time he was told that the run was already offered to the xtra board and they cant take it back.

That is still the rule that a run can't be offered more than two hours before the show up time. If a run is canceled after that run has been offered then you don't go back and re-offer the runs.

when a bid run is canceled the driver falls to the extraboard by senority. if you have higher senority then you take the choice of any open bid on the board or pass on the run.

can't be given out before 2 hrs from gate, you have 1.5 hrs to report and your .5 for hook.

We lost 1 night bid at our barn. 1 extra system driver.

if the x board was set before the bid was cancelled x board would go out . but if bid was cancelled first then that driver would go on x board in his senority spot .but what if the x board was senior guy it would be his
