Wow !!! i wonder what it would be if we were making money. Our dock plates are still broken and the yard is still riddled with pot holes, but we got to make sure upper management are living comfortably !!!! Could you imagine the outrage if we gave back the 15% they wanted? Only the people that generate revenue for the company should have to sacrifice ??oh well ,back to telling my kids that they can't have underarmour gear 'cause we cant afford it !!!

Yes Merry Christmas Judy, I hope you got all your kids really nice gifts, your raise was well deserved I bet. Did you get that percentage on how many people you laid off? 10,000 a week is a good salary for a company that is suppose to close by the end of the year because we are broke. Are you going to give back 15% now and ask us to do it? What a JOKE!!!

although I have never been an ABF employee what percentage of the company does she own versus how much you own?

Hey Lazer are you saying that if I buy stock in the company they will give me a raise too? Or based on how much I have I can VOTE myself a raise?

what you need to do is purchase shares of 'preferred' stock ,you will need enough shares to earn a seat on the board of directors. don't get confused with 'common' shares

Keep in mind...

At 525,000.00 per year, she gets way below the $2.5 million Bill Zollars was compensated in 2009 (base salary $1.0 million). This was a step raise, which was committed from the time she took the job.

How on earth could ABF think that this news would not cause a stir among their employees? Was it not just a few months ago that they were begging for 15% concessions and warning that if we did not give it up the doors would sure close and now they give out this $75,000.00 raise to the CEO. What a complete slap in the face to each and every employee. And to think they had some of our very own bamboozled into thinking that if they did not give up the concessions we were out of a job. Boy I hope ABF is glad they sold out to Carolina 16 years ago.

Keep in mind that YRC is teetering on bankruptcy and many times the size of ABC.

Remember Judy was never going to be part of the Beg Back. She works for ABC the Beg Back would have only affected ABF employees. She was taking care of herself from the get go. As many know I posted many items on the net showing that a Beg Back was not necessary. Don't get mad now. It was just business they were trying to reap the same benefits as yrc. They failed we said no. And yes they would have really made us look stupid had it passed. The Texass Turncoat and Slim Jim are the ones you should be angry with. We were lied to and disrespected by them. With that said I will surly read were the non union and the union haters will start their nay saying BS. Too them I say. I have had a long and well paying career one where I was allowed to say what I felt without the fear of being fired. I have always been paid time and a half after eight hours. I have always had great health insurance.I WILL have a pension coming one way or another. I have belonged to a Brotherhood that has brought many happy and fun times in my career. And I still to this day would not want it any other way. Yes I want the current IBT leaders gone but that is the great thing about our Brotherhood we get to vote on all the important matters that concern us. So for all you union haters DON'T GO THERE! I know i have had it better than any non union Truck Driver. And to all you UNION HATERS. Be glad you were and are lucky enough to have been hired as a union Truck Driver.

Well Muler after your long description of defending management, the I got mine attitude so its OK. I hope you feel the same way when you get laid off and your pension fund goes bankrupt. Good Luck.

Yeah their rubbing your noses in it but not as bad as YRC when that one guy [names slips me at the moment] walked off with a $ 400 000. bonus . These people have no shame or even a conscience they have no idea of whats right or wrong only when it comes to someone else . They are ignorant to think its fine to take that kinda of companion. while telling everyone else to take a 15% cut . To them you are their cash cows . Here's the real kicker , you got drivers over there that will argue in her favor . I guess if any good comes of this it just gave you all a boat load of ammo next time they want a give back . My prayers go out to each and everyone one you .

You are way off the mark there Brother. If you knew me you would never call me a defender of management. I called it business then I explained how I have always been afforded good benefits BECAUSE OF THE UNION. Not the company. I get my higher pay and benefits because I belong to the Teamsters. Now that we have that straight I am sorry to hear that you are laid off. Where did I defend management. All I said was ABF tried to get the same deal as yrc and WE meaning all of the NO voters at ABF avoided a BEG BACK That is called business. Do I agree with it no but I do know why they tried GREED! And as far as I got mine screw you, again you are way off the mark. I paid my dues just like everybody that came up Thur the ranks. I have been a steward for many years. So no I am not a one dog one bone Teamster. And on the matter of getting laid off and my pension going broke. If that happens me and my family will be fine. I have spent a lifetime working at supporting my family. I do what ever I have too do to keep them safe and fed. At no point did I wish that type of thing on anyone so why did you say that? My post was all about being afforded a great job because of the UNION. Maybe you should read that post again because you completely misunderstood it. But here is what I wish for you. A good job that has a pension and one that doesn't go broke. Did you understand that? I am wishing you GOOD LUCK. YOUR BROTHER ALWAYS!
