Just recieved a call to meet with Fedex for Road test, drug test, physical and Written test. What is written test: I am assuming general CDL questions ?
Anything you can tell me about hiring process at this stage would be appreciated.

I have been trying to get into this company for a long time, and don't want to screw up now.
 
Not sure (its been a long time) but I think the written test is the "Reed" test. It's to test your honesty, asks questions like, if your brother works on the dock and you see him stealing, would you turn him in? This was the written test to hire on with Watkins, could be different now.

Hey Driver, I like you am scheduled to go in on 7/07 for all those things. I was told that the written test is a standard "Open Book" DOT exam. Shouldnt be a problem for guys like us huh? Good Luck.
 
If you guys haven't taken a aptitude test yet you will. At least when we were Watkins we had to before we came to work. It more or less was used to determine if you were into high risk things like jumping from airplanes or motor cycle racing. If you were into things like that you could be seen as a risk taker who might take unnecessary risks while driving. We also did a test to see if you know all the rules about driving but that was more or less common sense stuff. It's a pretty simple test so it shouldn't be anything to worry about. Good luck, and I hope you guys get on with us. Just remember that FEDEX National is a great company no matter how much we whine and complain :smilie_132:
 
The written test is a 25 or so question test taken directly from the FMCSA regulations. Each question has the regulation that it was taken from right next to it so you can look up the answer.:funky:

Somehow, I still missed one, go figure.:duh:
 
It may be what we used to call the liars test. I've heard it called An ethics test too. I took one at Roadway once.

Q: would you sky dive?
A: NO!

Q: If your mom were stealing from her company would you turn her in?
A: YES!

Q: If Meth_Cane were legalized would you use it?
A: NO!

Q: If a injured baby bird fell out of its nest wold you..

A: stomp its guts out?
B: Throw it back into the nest with nothing but nest?
C: Call animal rescue?
D: A and C
E: None of the above.

Answer: C Call animal rescue.
