:ranting::nutkick:The rebid will happen on 1-28-10 and will come down on 1-5-10...Even though on the cd JR said the yearly vote was overwhelmingly turned down, we will still rebid every Nov. Also, on that same cd, did'ny JR say we would vote again on 1)Yearly rebid 2) Rebid at all 3(Rebid this year???? Another fine call made by our white-collar pencil pushers, F'n liars ...BTW, thanx 2 management for giving us a weeks notice!!! Its not like we have families and mortgages to think about. They knew we were gonna rebid in January so they could have given us a little notice...I used to bleed yellow and black, but now the bleeding has stopped.
Thanx for making my length of service with the company worth somthing...::shit::

LMAO......They video in question was correct, but if ya listened the bid deal was in reference was from 7 0r 8 yrs ago ,when it was lol turned down then, according to the memo that is out we will be bidding on a yearly basis,in which it was overwhemenly voted in 2 to 1....and yes the bid will happen every november and go into effect on the 1 st of every year, and yes we will bid in a couple of weeks and again in november this yr,the new bidding guidelines are out and yr term should have them there are dated 1/18/2010 and to take effect on 1/28/2010,to me it was a little notice as well, but hey after reading it,the bumping deal and the way they are wrote is a good thing, its about time senority means a little something...

Why is it that the re-bid makes people worried. I think they should rebid and put the bump system in place it is only fair to the drivers that have put there time in. And as far as the cd jr put out that has been weeks and weeks ago that they had made that cd. It was old news itself.

But the way they put the ::shit:: to the LINEHAUL, I know this may bring some bad feelings but when I got more time at this company then most if not all of our Hub drivers, and the Utilities, the least they could do is let us bid on those to.
I spent time covering Hubs, before have run the city a couple of times, but most time is in Linehaul, so I am like a canoe without a paddle so to speak, and about to lose my job probably.
They are getting rid of more and more linehaul,
So gee thanks Rob for letting us know that was in the grand plan when I could have bid on a hub run.

Then just maybe, not knowing what we are gonna have at my place this round yet, my guess is less linehaul and more Hub.
So after my years here I should take a Hub Run or hey maybe a Utility and be a brand new fresh start at a new Estes Express lines right.

Like the first guy said, company time should mean something, not just cause you spent most of your time in a class they obviously are looking at getting rid of.

The classification thing will always suck at this company, should have made two boards CITY AND ROAD.

Get Used to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dudes!! When will you learn you picked this path in life to work for the other guy!! ??
This company owes nothing to any of us.. All we are is a number, when we all hired in a
policy was put in front of us.. It says in black and white print, ( This is no gaurantee of employment )
when you pick a job class.
I can deal with this because job security is no longer a factor in this country. Look passed all
this and take things day by day, simply do your job and like it and work on retiring early instead
of later.. Or, start up your own business and retire now!!
Companies are out of control and its only gonna get worse guys and gals.. Live with it..
And get used to it...

keep on truckin dudes!!

Dissappointed that the company has changed it's attitude toward the employee..Yes.. Surprized..No..

The bigger you get,the more distance between employer and employee becomes..You work here to do a job..He pays you to do the

job..He doesn't want to invite us to his home and eat at his table..He pays us a handsome salary,so eat at your own table..There is no doubt

that in his articles and DVD's and CD's,that he appreciates what we do,we make him money..In turn, he pays us for our services..I don't need

"atta boys" nor do I need to hold hands with him..Pay me,and I'll go home to my family..What makes this company good,is us....

I'm tired of being ::shit:: on with this company. The classification seniority is horse ::shit:: and Rob and Jr show nothing but disrespect to those who have been loyal to them the longest. And yes they DID LIE. remember last year's rebid "this is a one time rebid" yeah how'd that work out, sorry for all those who took that literally and jumped on another board thinking there wouldn't be another rebid. Of coarse you were probably remembering the last 10 yrs how all they preached about was "Estes has LIFETIME bid runs" ha ha yeah true or false you decide. I think that was in the booklet all them years ago I supposedly had gotten too. And let's not even get into how Richmond thinks all the terminals have been following their guidelines all these years  in reality they have been doing it their own way for so long it's all screwed up, but hey it's the drivers fault the TM ran his show the way he did right. I bring these up to illustrate the point that when things change as dramatically as they have over the last year or two and they are changing the rules mid game, they need to realize it and pay some respect to those who have been with the company the longest. But as long as some of you guys who "put your time in" get to screw over someone who took a chance and hired on with Estes before you did, I guess it's all good. Hey it's cool I have no problem with the low seniority driver (by seniority I mean hire in date as I know this is a word that is often in a Grey area) out ranking those who have been here the longest serving Rob, since our Christian values and morals apparently let it happen. Hell Rob thinks so highly of his employee's, he's willing to pretend you didn't work for him for X amount of years. Thanks for you service, it meant so much we're going to neglect to count it. Gee thanks Rob..

jellyback comments like this are why companies will never change. I've made my phone calls to the home office...at least i put my neck out there.

Hhhmmmm

Thats fine if U didn't get screwed the first time. Let a junior driver step on your toes, then come back and see if U feel the same way!!!.:ranting:

]Really, because when it came out, that was the current situation...In the cd, i didn't here anything about "7-8 Years ago" being quoted?????

I didnt say I agree with all this dude. If you let things like this eat you up
inside you,ll never be happy.. Sounds to me like you better start looking
for a union job. Pay them dues so jellybacks can go on golf outings and
vacations on your money. Times are changing, average time a person stays
with a company before he or she moves on is 7 years.. Companies will not change,
they are in business for profit, nothing more.
Sooner you deal an except this, the more you will prosper personally..
Company time should only be used for one thing, vacation time choices.
And, where in the policy over the last 7 years has things changed for LineHaul
or Hub? We have seen some add ons, but no changes to key areas..
Glad you made your phone call, I did to..
have a good weekend DayCab

Gentleman, castteam is right no changes in the 17 yrs ive been here, lets do this if all the hub and utility were able bid on any thing including line haul runs ...once you become a linehaul driver ,you start at zero senority and get to run the e/b .or if your lucky ya might get a 350 mile turn and be home everyday....the only thing you bring to linehaul is yr ability to use yr company senority for vacations,so once again not tryin to **** anyone off but they made the best desision ,im sorry some guys got shuffled around from class to class,i have told the hub guys and utility guys to go linehaul over the past 7 or 8 yrs but guess what they all said,no joke here it goes....... im not gonna be gone away from home 5 days a week,im not gonna stay in bunk-rooms ,im not gonna go to the bottom and wait there for yrs to get a run,and # 1 jody might get some of mama while im gone all week,so there ya have it,,you guys have choices when they come around so i suggest you take them...im sorry i if i made anyone mad but i dont sugar coat anything....

Actually, i am listening to the cd right know and it does not say it is from 7 years ago...He says the previous survey(that was put out in November 2009) was overwhelmingly voted not to rebid runs, and a NEW survey WILL be out at the end of the year after all bypasses were setup...So where does senoirity help when ur run was changed 6 months ago and have to bid from a different class??????????

This BS does not help me either way, but I'd rather lose my job to a driver with more company time than one that has half the time and recieved a run on a technicallity.

I'm with ya daycab, it's funny how some of these guys are trying to justify this ::shit:: by "we put our time in" crap. Not only do they forget that others too put their time in by hiring on with the company first, but these policies go for HUB, P&D and everyone. Not only is it BS for LH, but it's ::shit:: for the rest of the classes who aren't away for 5 days. It's bull ::shit:: across the board for everyone. If this is a morral booster, I'm not seeing it where I go. I guess for all the guys who get a free pass over others with more Comp. time , then yeah whatever. Personally when I tell other drivers (other companys) how we do things they can't believe it and wave the BS flag. Alot of them, union and non union often times give the same advice, vote YES.

Yup...5 pages of wasted paper.

They are saying that the TM will receive the runs that will be available at your terminal..If your run is not in the bunch,it's been cancelled..I think there are going to be jobs lost here,in some areas..Say a prayer..
