How do you make any money

My son-in law drives for Werner. He's only been on the road about 10 months and doesn't seem to be getting a lot of miles. He went under a contact with a drug store but only runs about 4 different states. My Question is how can he make more money if he stays with Werner?

He is pretty much at the mercy of his dispatcher.
The only way out is top buy out the contract. Untill that happens, keep his driving record clean.

Werner is the same as ALL the truck load carriers..... !970 wages.....No bennies....This is the reason all of them have HORRIBLE safety records and turnover ratios.....I shudder when ANY of these carriers is close to me on the road because of the inept schoolboy steering wheel holders driving .....They all pay HORRIBLE wages and NO REAL PROFESSIONAL driver will work for their cheap wages...These scabbie companies are the direct result of the " great manipulater " reagan abolishing the ICC

AT 10 months he has enough experience to fine a hell lot better job then not YRC well hire you right out of truck driving school. Get the hell out of that slump. Go to a LTL carrier a whole lot better life remember the worst the truck looks the pay is a lot better good luck

ABF will start you out at 54 cents for the first year then jump you up to 61. Free health insurance also. See if there may be a road operation near you. Abf jobs is a good place to start. Search under road driver. Just sayin....

All the OTR jobs need unions . I worked for Werner 16 years ago. I knew something was wrong when I made more money than the guy training me. None pay good and most are ty and lei their asses off
