For what its worth....I had a GREAT time at YRC. The pay wasn't bad, decent benefits, I had a great route....but I was fired for doing something REALLY stupid.When I lost my job I thought it was the end of the world. I applied at a competitor and was hired.

The competitor offered the same benefits with newer equipment and a slight bump up in pay. Still a Teamster and I wouldn't have it any other way.

After reading about recent developments at YRC....... I have a feeling they're about to close up shop..... THINK CONSOLIDATED FREIGHTWAYS.

Hope not....but driver beware!

YRC will be FINE , as they best worker-sheep's , as they PAY -15% to work there and until we can get the yes sheep to change nothing will ever happen to them ...........................think about it what a great idea , to make workers pay you to work for them !!

PIE stopped working me as a casual, then Roadway put me on full time about a month later. Twenty-eight years after that I retired. Sometimes things just workout for the better.

We have lost enough Teamster jobs over the years, lets drop all the doom and gloom and post something postive, and hope for a good outcome.

Hope you don’t make the same stupid mistake at Upsf. Didn’t really see a need for a poll except if you wanted to throw a Jab at your previous employer & employees....

i also added the poll because when i was at yrc......everyone was waiting for 2019 like the second coming of christ.....my co-workers seemed to think they were getting their 15 percent back.....let me ask you....do you see the 15 percent being given back? now yrc has this new company...HNRY... i think this may be a look into a non union future.... so all things considered...stock tanking....new company....and the new contract coming up

so no....i dont want to see drivers...union or otherwise lose their jobs...plus i really did like yrc.... i just like where im at better

You listen to many other people. When you should investigate things on your on. You would be very surprised how much you would actually know

I left yrc for abf in 08. HNRY is nothing more then monkey see monkey do, abf has several logistics companies that’s what’s trending now. As far as the timing of the press release, that’s mind games for the upcoming contract along with the new Mou....

If you don't mind me asking what did you do to get fired plus did you file a grievance to get your job back what happened? I've seen guys come back from accidents, failed drug tests, alcohol, fights, damaged freight and numerous more.

Fired from yrc.
Had to do with assaul or continued intimidating activity. Against others or managment or employees. Stealing. Both of them are big BIG no no's
It the only things I've seen people let go for and not.....NOT get their jobs back over the last ten years.

Short of those. Murder can be counted as an option to be fired.
