OD drivers got a $500.00 bonus some time back. Now management must want to keep up with them and not loose any of you that might be thinking of jumping ship for greener pastures.
I would rather see a decent raise than "bonus". Ask, Where is raise? Answer, You just got a bonus!

It can’t be all that bad. According to the above piece of the initial post on this thread, everybody’s gonna get some kinda money to hang in there with xpo. And you guys are real hero’s delivering freight during this pandemic...I’m serious and really mean it.

Also, I can see if for the lack of business, cause of the plague, drivers are furloughed or laid off. Then yeah, it’s pretty much brown pastures for them. If that’s your situation, I feel for you and hope for your sake, and all of us, that this virus will be eradicated soon so can you get back to work and we all can have our lives back like they were pre pandemic. That’s my pray anyway.
Raises will be at the end of the summer this year, but there will be a raise. So they say.

That's what we were told this morning, we have a guy who has been laid off for a few months and another guy off on FMLA...no bonus. Also anyone who opted to stay home, or even work from home (I think all account execs) aren't getting pandemic bonus. S

It's always been like that. when it comes to any kind of layoff here it goes by the date you were hired on. So if you been here for 15yrs and transferred 2 month ago to you barn everyone that was hired after him will be laid off first. Even the guy that's been at the barn for 14yrs and 11 months goes before he does. I can suck but that the way it is.

$500 yea it something. We all know that it will be taxed as a bonus which is higher rate and then your state and local govt sticks there hand in. In the end you end up somewhere in the $300 range. The ways to take this, get the check and put it in you account, put it in you 401K and get the full amount of $500 and pay taxes on it later. Use the Roth the company offers and pay the tax now and let it sit there are grow and never pay taxes on it again.

Good advice! I can turn 2 cents into a million dollars any day!
It’s withheld at a higher rate, but when you file your taxes at the end of the year, it’s just part of your income, so it’s actually taxed at your normal tax rate. The amount withheld now isn’t the actual taxes you’re paying on the money. And you can only put up to 50% into the 401k
