Probably come down to the relationship between your barn, and the barn in need.
My old barn would have. They loaned out guys to other nearby terminals somewhat often.

In Dallas we have had guys from FTW during the week make road runs and weekend work also.
Depends on your SCM. Had one that was real cool. I went to DSM to help out, mostly on dock. SGF to help on the road for 2 weeks. STL to help on some road and some city. The turnpike in Oklahoma was closed for a week from snow and ice. About 5 of us went to DAL when it opened 4 of the guys went home the next day, I stayed and ran Hobby for a whole week until my SCM told me to come home. I was the bottom city guy and was only getting about 30 hours a week, so he would send places if they needed help. Every SCM after him wouldn’t let me go anywhere.
