back when i first started driving i ran teams, it was horrible.

I hear that some centers are giving up on sleeper teams because nobody can get along and nobody wants to team up. I ran teams for years (for another company) and it isn't that bad. The pay is much better. You get 1/2 of the total miles run by the team each week. A team can run 6,000 plus miles in five days.
