Not sure where all the older Cascadia's are being moved.But,heard today alot of the City guy's here are having to give up there 09,10,11's to outline term's.:maad:They are bringing in 07's to run local here.Glad I kept my 2757 last year.Heard the breakbulk's will be getting the 07's to run local.Don't really know any more than that.If anyone else has heard anything please enlighten us.
 
took a couple of our 09 cascadia for california last year, was supposed to take all but did not. got 07 columbias in trade with a lot more miles on them

Where's your auto Volvo already? That truck was a chic magnet.
 
Lost the 14 cascadia that was assigned to my run over the weekend in exchange to CAN got a million mile 07 back, COH said it part of rotating the trucks that are 8 years old back to break terminals to be sold/traded in. "Eventually" was emiphized on the sold and traded in part.

That's what's going on here.They are suppose to be sending alot of the 07 high mileage back this way to run local&sending out the lower mileage 09,etc out.We are already hurting for tractor's&this is going to help???Ummmmm!!!
 
Due to the laws in Cali we lost most of the if not all of the 07 (don't even know if we ever saw any 08 here) and got a lot of "gently used" 09 tractors.This was a year or 2 ago.May be a similar move.Many had close to half million miles but were in pretty good shape for the most part.

Alway's wonder'd what happen to the Volvo's that got mix'd up in there EPA law's.I heard that they had to trash them.Just couldn't believe that.Would have thought they would have just moved them out of Cali.
 
I'm wondering how they plan to get all them sleepers out of ATL to the west coast. Hope they aren't planning on asking us to take one out and bring a ragged out one back. That ain't happening.

Back when we start'd getting some Volvo's.Late 2000 model's.They didn't meet Cali's EPA rules.What I was told they were impound's by the state.Don't know what ever happen'd.Would be interesting if someone out that way would shed a little light.

I heard they were going to be for the container division.I quess they figured they would come out better by paying "Song" to sing them down the road.:1036316054:Than pay the owner-operaters.......
 
got an 09' columbia... LOVE IT!!! 900,000 still running strong... heat works,starts every time and regen completely rebuilt... makes me $$$$

How long you been here? You saying teams are above doing tractor swaps? It's not the best thing to do but it's part of the ltl business. Considering what Teams get paid I think you could suffer through it for half a week.

Well we haven't had to yet... If they do I would be apt to cry shenanigans... How we getting back for one, it seems we sell our west coast team trucks out here on the west coast (see 'em all the time on 10 and 5). We ain't teamin back in a daycab that's for damn sure. Second, have you seen the "mattresses" in the team trucks? They're little more than a sheet of cardboard on a steel spring! We went and bought a memory foam mattress for our truck. We ride first class...

I've been here almost 2 years. What's that got to do with the issue? You try slip seating all the gear it takes to run two man in and out of a truck twice in a week, oh and by the way sometimes we arrive at our destination right in the middle of the other guy's snooze time. Would you like to be woke up just to get your gear out and climb up in another ride and try to go back to sleep? Makes more sense to relay them out with solos. I've done swaps when I ran solo. No biggie. Just pop your radio box, lunchbox and briefcase out and back in the other one and away you go.

Pass one of those new team trucks up north .. This one has way over a million miles and I need more space with a high rise . heck, send a used high rise . i need more truck space !!!! Other then that I have few complaints if any
