Yellow | Whats going on at 318?

Ok ... I'll ask.... Us Holland guys never caught on to yrc's numbers for the terminals.... Where's 318?

The only 318 I know of is in a Dodge....
The 8V71 Detroit was a 318. Upgrade from the 6N71 238. But the 318 with a turbo was a 350. In the 80s, a lot of Freight Companies used the 6V92 Fuel Squeezer.

I had an 8V92 TA 430 in a new 1979 KW. Put in 500 injectors and it had 475 hp at the wheels. Hot truck- until it blew a crank bolt at 206,000 on a 200,000 mile warranty……

Just another one of Yellow’s arrogant methods. Made it difficult to ever load trailers correctly, we were educated to add numbers and use maps as geographical information. Put 425 and 362 in that trailer. Or put Nashville and Louisville in that trailer.
Too stupid to realize how confusing it was. Operating on hub and spoke like airports. How many of them use numbers, ZERO.
Oh well too late to change their minds.
Every LTL company should have a really good example by now of HOW NOT TO RUN A BUSINESS.
I have said in several post “ They will be back In some way “
Who in there right mind would ever go work for them?

Old guy running down the road has a Detroit blow by him going up hill. Driver said “ Hey what you got under the hood there” driver replied “ I got a six cylinder Detroit “
Other driver “ No way” other driver “ Yup I got 6 cylinders on the right bank and 6 on the left bank”

The banks will give them whatever they want.
Then everybody works for the banks again.
