They could have just put Peterbuilt logos on the Volvos to satisfy the "big rigger types" who (mistakenly) think they are better trucks. I for one will be sorry to see the Volvos replaced by these. Then again they didn't ask my opinion either. :idunno:

Hot July nights on the NY Thruway between Buffalo and Syracuse in the mid 1970's, pulling in to a service area, walking past a line of trucks including these Roadway Road Boss units with the cut-off bumpers, a screen in front of the grill full of dead insects, the creaking sounds of the engine cooling down, wow, seems like just yesterday. :smile new:

Get a fleet of new trucks, first in 10 yrs and start bitching before your butt hits the seat.
They should put you in a W model Ford with a JT Cummins and rubber blocks.
You need to get your butt to work and turn this outfit around.
 
Hey Seabreez we have been getting new tractors all along! So your “First in 10 years “ is way off!!! As for new Pete’s, they suck, PERIOD! I don’t need a stripped down, degraded PETE to do my job. VOLVO anytime! And after 41 years I still do three beds every week. I’m doing my part and I’m not alone. A lot of us do our part! MANAGEMENT IS THE PROBLEM!!!
